The Affiliate earns a commission on every sale or referral he or she makes but the affiliate bears all the upfront costs of promotion and can lose money if he or she is not careful. This is a win-win situation for the individual or company behind the product or service as they only have to pay a commission when a sale is made and can reduce significantly their marketing expense to a fixed cost as they know they will only pay a certain percentage to the affiliate if he or she drives a sale.

Internet Marketing has made the dream of working from home and creating products or promoting affiliate products or services very real for many people.
